How to Apply for a Marriage License

You may apply in person for a marriage license Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m., except legal holidays. You can apply online any time, but in order to complete the online application process, both parties must go together to the Court between the hours listed above, with any additional required materials mentioned in these instructions.

At least one of the applicants must be a resident of Coshocton County and the marriage must be performed in the State of Ohio. If both applicants are from out of state but wish to be married in Coshocton County, they must obtain their license in Coshocton County.

If either applicant is under 18 years of age, contact the court for further information.

A valid identification is required for all applicants

If either applicant has been previously married and divorced, a file stamped copy of the final order or decree granting the divorce or dissolution is required for the most recent divorce.

Cost of the license is $92. Payment may be made by cash, check or debit/credit card. (3% fee added when using card)

License may be used the same day it is issued. It must be used within 60 days. The day of issue is day 1 of the 60 days.

No blood test is required.
